Reed Spangler, CPA
Reed Spangler, the senior partner in the firm, assists individuals with planning for their financial and income tax responsibilities as well as for retirement and for wealth transfers. With over thirty years of experience as a CPA, Reed works with business owners to help them with their financial reporting and income tax concerns. He also specializes in individual income and estate planning and taxation and in business taxation and financial reporting. He has worked extensively with financial and service companies, contractors and consulting firms, country clubs and not-for-profit organizations. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California – Santa Barbara. He is an active member of several local community service organizations.

Jane E. Russell, CPA
Jane E. Russell, has been a member of the firm since 1988 and a partner since 2003. She specializes in small business and restaurant accounting. She oversees the small business practice, including compilations and reviews as well as payroll, sales tax, 1099 preparation and other informational filings. Jane holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of AICPA, CSCPA, the American Society of Women Accountants and MENSA. Jane is on the board of Girsh Park Foundation, GLBA and Body Electric.

Gail H. Anikouchine, CPA
Gail H. Anikouchine, a partner in the firm, has more than twenty years of audit, accounting and income tax experience, beginning her career at one of the Big Four accounting firms. Her expertise is primarily in the areas of audits of not-for-profit organizations and business taxation. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California – Berkeley and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of San Francisco. She is an active volunteer in the profession, serving as president of the Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting and the Channel Counties Chapter of the California Society of CPAs , including being a member of the State AP&AS Committee; previously she served on the Board of American Society of Women Accountants – Santa Barbara. She also serves on the Board of Directors of two local not-for-profits. Gail has spoken several times and authored articles on issues and changes in accounting and auditing for not-for-profits.

William L. Jackson, CPA
William L. Jackson, a partner in the firm, has over twenty years of income tax and audit experience. Bill’s experience with income tax focuses on estate and trusts, including assisting individuals in this complex area with planning. His auditing concentration is in the area of country clubs. In addition, Bill works with private foundations, assisting with both audit and exempt organization return compliance. He completed his undergraduate studies at Willamette University in Oregon and received his Master of Business Administration degree from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo. He serves currently as CFO of the Ann Jackson Family Foundation and as treasurer of the Board of Casa Del Herrero Foundation; he has served as treasurer for the Dunn School in Los Olivos and other local nonprofits.

Timothy A. O’Keeffe, CPA
Timothy A. O’Keeffe, audit manager, has more than fifteen years of for-profit and non-profit audit and accounting experience prior to joining the firm in 2010. His specialty areas include high-technology, service organizations, charities, and employee benefit plans. In addition, he has experience preparing exempt organization information returns. Tim earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree at Northern Arizona University, where he graduated Cum Laude, and has worked in Alaska and Florida. He served two years as local AP&AS discussion group leader for the Channel Counties Chapter of the California Society of CPAs and is currently treasurer of one local not-for-profit organization and as a board advisor to another.

Arjun McAvoy, CPA
Arjun McAvoy, Tax Manager, joined the firm in 2010 and brings broad expertise with small business and individual tax planning as well as not-for-profit accounting and auditing issues. Arjun has more than nine years of accounting experience ranging from handling complex accounting and tax issues at one of the Big Four public accounting firms to providing personal service and customized solutions at a regional Bay Area public accounting firm. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Claremont McKenna College and a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University. He serves on the Board of a local not-for-profit.
